Terry Black's Barbecue will open its first San Antonio restaurant to the public at 10:30 a.m. on November 17. Located at 2102 Broadway near the Pearl, the new establishment marks the eighth location for the family-owned Texas chain that was originally founded in Austin.

Mike Black, cofounder of Black Family Hospitality, said in a news release that the business is thrilled to bring its time-honored smoking techniques and family recipes to San Antonio as one of the state's most celebrated food cities. The restaurant will serve its full menu of slow-smoked meats, including sliced brisket, turkey, sausage, beef ribs, and pork ribs.

Alongside the meats, diners can order traditional sides such as potato salad, pinto beans, cream corn, and macaroni and cheese, followed by sweet desserts like peach cobbler, pecan pie, and banana pudding. The kitchen will also offer beverages including the brand signature black frozen margaritas and local beers.

In addition to standard dine-in service, the location will launch delivery through Uber Eats, catering requests, and reservations via OpenTable starting on opening day. Guests will also have the option to book a specialized one-hour tour of the pits that includes meeting the pitmasters and enjoying a reserved meal without waiting in line.

The restaurant project forms part of a broader development effort on the Broadway corridor that will eventually include a boutique hotel and bathhouse scheduled for completion in future years. Terry Black's Barbecue will operate daily with regular hours running from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and extending until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The family enterprise has expanded across several Texas cities since its founding, opening a New Braunfels location earlier this fall before setting its sights on the Broadway corridor site.
